Dr. Yanjmaa Jutmaan holds a Master’s in Statistics and a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from UNC Charlotte. With over 25 years of experience in the education sector, including nine years at UNC Charlotte, Dr. Jutmaan specializes in teaching statistics.

In addition to her teaching role, she has worked as a data scientist on various high-impact projects, including collaborations with Harvard Medical School and government agencies. Dr. Jutmaan has managed data analysis and advised study design on several ongoing epidemiologic studies, including the largest tuberculosis trial in the world. 

Passionate about community engagement, Dr. Jutmaan also volunteers and manages a local NGO, providing support and guidance to those in need in the Mongolian community.

Outside of academia, Dr. Jutmaan enjoys traveling, podcasting, writing books and spending quality time with her husband and their four children.
